Joel Griner lives in Des Moines, Iowa with his wife Kathy. Together they raised 3 children, and now enjoy spoiling their 8 grandchildren. Joel is a retired middle school science teacher. His first involvement with ONE FAMILY ONE PURPOSE was in 2012, when the organization led a disaster relief build in Thurman Iowa. Since that time, Joel has been a consistent volunteer on the disaster relief construction sites, and has been extremely active behind the scenes, giving presentations and raising funds throughout the state of Iowa. Joel enjoys yard work, home projects, gardening and has a passion for cycling (he is a RAGBRAI veteran). Joel looks forward to continuing to serve OFOP for many years.
